9-Day Hwange, Kariba & Victoria Falls Luxury Tented Camping Safari Itinerary
This Trip will take you from Hwange, one of Africa’s most extensive protected safari areas to the mythical Lake Kariba, an incredible inland water wilderness with stunning sunsets. The tour ends in Victoria Falls, a natural world wonder and adventure capital of Southern Africa.
DAY 1 - 3
Hwange National Park
You will start this trip by meeting your driver guide who will transfer you to Hwange National Park, where you will meet your guide from Somalisa. You will be staying in a luxury tented camp. Over the next few days you will put yourself in authentic African safari. Morning and evening game drives allow you to capture excellent photos of large elephant and buffalo herds, as well as great chances of seeing lion, leopard, cheetah and a multitude of other plains game and bird species. During your stay you will also visit the Painted (wild) dog center run by volunteers.
DAY 2
DAY 4 - 6
Hwange To Mythical Lake Kariba
Today you will set off for the following 2 nights into the Okavango in a traditional Makoro (a dugout canoe) with your camping equipment and guide. The Makoro rides are combined with bush walks for better game viewing. Oddballs Makoro Trail is one of the greatest wilderness adventure camping trails of the world.
Hop into the boat with an experienced boatman, a mine of knowledge on the waterways and the wildlife, as he punts you through the delta. Amazing game sightings and endless water are seductive and you will fall in love with the magic of the delta. Watch the sunrise, enjoy a delicious bush brunch and a dinner under the starry sky. A sundowner stop on a small, unexplored island will bring a close to your unique adventure – pure Africa.
It is home to a large variety of game from Big Five (excluding the Rhino), hippopotamus and crocodile, as well as giraffe and antelope including the rare lechwe, tsessebe and sitatunga. The delta is a birding paradise with over 450 species.

DAY 7 - 8
The Majestic Victoria Falls
After the exciting 2 nights on the Makoro Trail, you return to the Oddballs Camp for a last night. Discuss the fascinating experiences and sightings of the previous days with your co-adventurers by the camp fire - great memories that will last for a life-time.

DAY 9
Transfer to Victoria Falls Airport
Enjoy the last breakfast and possibly another morning activity on the last day of your safari. Then you will be transfered to Victoria Falls Airport by car in time for your onward connecting flight.
